We spent the morning of April 1 walking the Lichtentaler Allee - a 2.3km park and arboretum along the River Oos in Baden Baden. It dates back to the mid-1600's where it began as a path between the town market and the monastery. It was more fully developed and planted in the mid-1800's and is really quite spectacular.
According to my LP guide book, Bill Clinton said of the town - "so nice that you have to name it twice". It was Sunday morning and all kinds of people were out and about in the beautiful sunny weather.
